Stuart
Inshore yesterday there were reports of some pompano around J.C park to Bear point with a few trout mixed in. The redfish have been up to the north around Queens Cove with a few nice trout at first light. The snook fishing has been ok around the bridges at night and in the inlet.
Ft Pierce
Inshore fishing has been great the past couple days with trout and Redfish caught up toward the power plant on DOA AIRHEAD in the new watermelon holo pattern. Pompano have been reported on the sailfish flats along with plenty of jack and ladyfish. Surf fishing should be good in the next couple of day for whiting and pompano, use clams, sand fleas, or shrimp to target these fish.

Sebastian Inlet Report
12-18-13 WEDNESDAY: BLACK DRUM, POMPANO, SHEEPSHEAD, WHITING AND REDS
We have a beautiful, brisk morning at the inlet, albeit a bit windy. Winds are blowing out of the North at 21 mph and gusting to 25, so hang on to your fishing hats. The water isn't too rough; there is just a moderate chop.
Yesterday, the morning bite was good for Pompano, Redfish, Black Drum and Sheepshead. There were also a few Whiting that came over the rails according to Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach. Mike reported that anglers using clams had the best results. Thanks Mike!
Our first photo features Luke Monterola of Orlando with a nice 18" Pompano he landed early morning using dead shrimp.
Our second angler today is Jordan Alexander who landed his first Snook. The Snook was 25" and landed on a D.O.A shrimp. Although this was Jordan's first Snook, it won't be his last! The Snook was released unharmed right after the photo.

Sebastian Inlet Report

12-17-13 TUESDAY: BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, POMPANO, WHITING AND JACKS
What a gorgeous morning at the Sebastian Inlet. Winds are blowing out of the North-Northwest at 11 mph and gusting to 14. There is a moderate chop on the water. It would be a great day to get out and wet a line. By the looks of the web cam a lot of people thought the same thing; the north jetty is crowded with anglers.
We received several updates that we want to share with you. Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach fished late on Friday; he arrived at 11:30, just in time to catch Tony Swiderski of Sebastian at the cleaning table with some real big fish. Tony's Black Drum was 32" and he had at least one Sheepshead that was between 6 - 8 lbs. Tony used clams and dead shrimp to land his fish. Mike didn't do as well in the afternoon, he managed to land an 18" Black Drum, two 12" Pompano and two nice size Whiting.
Meir Genoune of Boynton Beach fished the inlet over the weekend and reported Saturday morning's Pompano bite was strong and he limited out with his 6 by 9:00 a.m. The Black Drum bite was slow but steady all day. The bite on Sunday was slower with only a few Pompano caught. The Black Drum and Sheepshead bite was just ok through the day.
Mike Ricciardi fished yesterday morning and had an exceptionally good catch. Using fresh clams for all the catches, he landed 5 Black Drum, 3 Pompano and 2 Sheepshead. The largest Drum was 28". Mike also reported lots of Sheepshead came over the rails, between 30 - 40 for anglers using sand fleas.

From Henry @ Snook-Nook - Jensen Beach
In spite of the weather man we had a nice week, when he turned off the wind he did the same with the sun, so we will fish around him. Lets go catch a fish.
Surf was a little strong this week, with three to four foot waves all week, time for that 12’ rod, winter mode. Did not see a lot of anglers this week, thank you weather man, three to four ounces of lead to hold.
Those that came fished later in the day, wind slowed down and it was Whiting, big Whiting kept all busy.
A few Mac’s some Blues even a Pompano or two but the Whiting controlled the show, excellent table fare. Best part was it seemed they were every where, anglers were catching from north to south from every access. A bucket of ice, some shrimp to cut up in pieces or clam and twenty minutes and your bucket was full, that simple.
River anglers had to work a little harder to get away from the wind unless you fished the North Fork. With mother nature back in control and plenty of bait why would the fish not be there. With its many turns and treed shore line, what wind. That bridge at Pt. St. Boulevard it is Snook and Drum, going south to the bay at Club Med, Pompano, Trout a few Reds and more Drum, Snook and Flounder also made the catch list, a good week in the St Lucie river.Hells Gate had Pompano in the deep pockets one just had to get a bait below the Lady fish and yes the Spanish Mac’s were there biting any thing that moved. Wind kept most anglers in the Indian River on the move from Middle Cove south, Trout in 3 to 4 feet of water, Reds were in 2 feet and the Mac’s and Lady fish were every where. Coves at the east ends of the causeways were busy with some quality Trout, a few Pompano and real nice Flounder, then the wind changed thank you weather man.
So it is time to take the barbs off the hooks, Snook season is closed, you can fish but not possess, release unharmed as quickly as possible, barbless hooks work.

Sebastian Inlet Report

12-13-13 FRIDAY: TGIF! BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, SPANISH MACKEREL, FLOUNDER, JACKS, BLUE RUNNERS, TARPON AND CATFISH
We have overcast skies at the inlet this morning. Winds are blowing out of the East-Northeast at 11 mph and gusting to 15. The water is choppy and a small craft advisory is in effect until 3:00 p.m. this afternoon. Always check the NOAA forecast prior to going offshore. The NOAA forecast can be found on the web cam page under useful links, below the wind gauges.
SNOOK SEASON CLOSES DECEMBER 15th, you have until Saturday evening December 14th at 11:59 p.m. to land one in the slot of 28" - 32". To be truthful, they haven't been very active anyway, but it could happen for some lucky angler out there. We continue to see a decent Black Drum bite, along with some large Sheepshead in the 5 - 8 lb. range, according to Tommy Turowski at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop. Sand fleas work very well for Sheepshead, but any crustacean such as shrimp, small crabs or clams. Black Drum are fond of clams and other crustaceans but cut fish and squid are good choices as well. Spanish Mackerel have been chasing Gotcha lures and silver spoons; we've seen some smaller Flounder, a few doormats and Tarpon activity in the evening hours.
Our first four photos today are courtesy of Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach. Mike took the first three shots on Tuesday the 10th and the fourth on Wednesday, the 11th. Photo one features Diane Buyce of Melbourne and Mike with some nice Pompano.
Photo two features Tony Swiderski of Sebastian, Jose Pina of Poinciana and "Granny" of Melbourne with their Black Drum catches.
Mike landed his 18" Pompano after Diane convinced him to stop and try for a few minutes as he was leaving the jetty. Mike stopped and threw his line out near the beach on the north side and within 2 minutes, this beauty hit.
"Big Dave" Hartwell is featured in our fourth photo today. Dave poses with a two of several nice Sheepshead he landed.
Our last photo is of the "Flounder Man", Rob Moore of Orlando. Rob got a glimpse of the large doormat that was landed last week and couldn't stay away from the inlet. Rob made it to the inlet and pulled in these three nice fish. The largest was 6 lbs. and the Three Spot Flounder was real nice at 19".
