Sebastian Inlet Report

01-13-12 FRIDAY: A FEW FLOUNDER AND SHEEPSHEAD BUT SLOW....

Temperatures have cooled down a little bit but it's very nice at the inlet this morning. There is a mix of sun and clouds which should hover over the inlet today. Temperatures are expected to drop for Saturday and improve again on Sunday, we'll just have to wait and see. Winds are blowing out of the North-Northwest at 8 mph and the water is calm this morning, different than what was forcasted!

Fishing was pretty slow off the north jetty yesterday. During the morning hours one Sheepshead, one Blue and one Whiting were landed...that was it! There were Sheepshead that were visible, stealing baits and they got the best of the north jetty anglers yesterday. The south side fared a little better. A couple of guys on the south jetty landed four decent sized Flounder and two guys on the south catwalk landed 8 keeper Sheepshead using sand fleas and one Flounder using finger mullet and that was about it for the morning on the south side of the inlet. Hopefully, this little cold snap will get the fish moving again

First photo is of two lucky guys, Larry  and Bill  the who landed 4 nice Flounder off the south jetty yesterday using finger mullet.

Our last photo features John and Jimmy, the men were fishing the south catwalk and seemed to be the only people landing anything up there yesterday morning. The duo had eight keeper Sheepshead they landed using sand fleas and one Flounder John landed using finger mullet.
