Sebastian Inlet Report

12-10-13 TUESDAY:
BLACK DRUM, REDS, SPANISH MACKEREL, SHEEPSHEAD, BLUES, JACKS, PERMIT AND FLOUNDER

It's nice to be back in the land of sunshine! It's a beautiful day at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the Southwest at 7 mph. There is a small swell for our surfers this morning; we have blue skies and a beautiful day ahead of us. I want to thank everyone for sending in their photos and updates while I was away for a few days, I'll get your photos posted as soon as possible.

There were some big Black Drum, Reds, Pompano, Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, Trout, Jacks, small Sharks and Blues landed over the past few days. Mullet, live shrimp and clams were the baits of choice. It looks like everyone had good times!

Our first photo today is pretty amazing. SISP Ranger Ed Perry sent the photo in of Jose Rivera of Orlando. Jose was fishing the south jetty when he hooked up with this huge Permit using live shrimp. It took him 20 minutes to land this big beauty! Somebody in the parking lot with a Boca Grip weighed it and it came in at 25 lbs.!

David Rosariois featured in our second photo today.
David  hooked up with an undersized C/R Redfish  John Maldonado of Kissimmee hooked up with the 25" C/R Snook in photo Three. Both fish were released unharmed after the photos and swam away healthy.
