Sebastian Inlet Report

BLACK DRUM, REDS, SNOOK, SEA TROUT, SHEEPSHEAD, BLUES, SPANISH MACKEREL AND JACKS

We've seen a good variety of fish including some real nice Sea Trout, Black Drum, Reds, Snook, Jacks, smaller Spanish Mackerel and Sheepshead and some huge Blues, up to 10 lbs.! Spring fishing has arrived and we are starting to see the return of silver mullet, mojarra and other delicious baits that attract the migrating species. We have a pretty nice weekend forecasted, so get out and enjoy it while it lasts; summer is just around the corner!

Our first photo today is courtesy of Marc Kaplan who happened to be fishing the north jetty when the unidentified young man in our first photo brought this huge, 40 lb. Black Drum over the rails! Marc said this young man fought the fish for over 20 minutes before he was victorious. What a great catch and a great fight, way to go!!

Joe Collins sent in our sent in our second photo today. Joe reported that Doug Yaxley or Orlando landed this LUCKY 28" Redfish off the north jetty using a mullet head. Lucky being that this beautiful Red was in the slot, but Doug decided to release it to grow into one of those monsters we love to fight, catch and release.
In our third photo is Fred Slopsema has had very good luck with Sea Trout he's been featured multiple times this season with some nice Trout, and today is no exception. Fred was fishing the rocks near the south catwalk  when he landed this 23.75" Spotted Trout using an Unfair lure. Fred reported the day was cloudy and the water was rough but the fish were really biting! He also caught and released two other oversized Spotted Trout along with a 24" C/R Snook.
