Sebastian Inlet Report

03-29-17 WEDNESDAY: BLUES, SNOOK, SHEEPSHEAD AND BLACK DRUM

We have another beautiful morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the South-Southwest at 2 mph, gusting to 4 and there is a light chop on the water. Winds will shift to the East late this afternoon. There are no NOAA advisories this morning.

The Bluefish bite is still strong according to Sarah Sams at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop. FWC regulations state that the limit on Blues is 10 fish per day, per person. They must be 12" to the fork, which has not been a problem as there have been some real monsters coming over the rails! Snook, Sheepshead and a few Black Drum round out the mix. We have a lot of weeds in the water and on the beaches, other than that it would be a real nice day to get out and do some surf fishing.
