The inshore fishing should be in full swing with plenty of trout taking top water baits at first light and again just before dark. The catch and release snook action should be as good as it gets in the Ft. Pierce Inlet for anglers using live baits. Look for redfish around the mangroves and along the shore line at Round Island and Queen's Cove. Try using a spoon or a piece of cut ladyfish. The snapper should be feeding along the channel edges and around the local bridges. Try using a live shrimp or a small white bait. The bite will be the best around the full moon. Look for tarpon around Big Mud Creek, in the Ft. Pierce Inlet and the Turning Basin. A live mullet will be hard to beat.

FROM WHITES TACKLE - FT. PIERCE
Inshore, the catch and release action for snook in the Ft. Pierce inlet has been good for anglers using live bait and jigs. Mangrove snapper are beginning to populate the inlet and channel edges and will easily take a live shrimp. Tarpon are filtering into the inlet as well and will take a live bait. Trout fishing is good early in the day and will take a live pigfish, top water lure and soft plastics.

Snapper Time
I had chance to fish Boynton Jetty this weekend ( No Rain). The small baits are around and they bring in one of my Favorite fish to catch and get mad at ........SNAPPER...... I had a few small ones 10 inches keepers, but all I keep are at least 13-on up and if you have seen me, I'm a BIG GUY and you don't feed a Whale A Tic - Tac if you know what I mean. I got a few on a live sardine and lost a few more...at least that was what I think they were, might have been small snook. But still I had fun and thats what its all about. I'll be out there Tue. or Wed. night lookng for my next days lunch.....
From Henry @ Snook-Nook Jensen Beach
Rain, rain go a way come back again another day, four days of overcast sky, have not seen that in a long time. We need the rain just not all at one time. Oh well
the fish are all ready wet so put on the rain gear and lets go catch a fish.
Flounder continue, it seems they are every where, anglers fishing north or south are putting on the catch list and they are all good size not lots but one or two mixed in with the Trout catch can make a great dinner. Trout it has been top
water all day, usually after sun up the fish go to deeper water but with the overcast sky they lounged all day in the shallows, excellent catch reports from north to south, upper slot fish. Reds north of County line road, again fishing the shallows no need to look for shaded water the whole river has been in the shade, soft rubber work slowly across the bottom found plenty. Bridges list the variety, and there was cover in the rain, sardines for the Blue fish early then it was to many Sheephead, plenty of Snapper mix in a few Drum and you get the picture. Jacks, Lady fish and Flounder were also on the scene and then came the Tarpon looking for little tiny baits and the Snook know the season is closed, busy busy at the bridges.
Surf anglers had to deal with to many Whiting but the Blues and Jacks kept them busy watching their equipment. Tarpon from Bath Tub to the House of Refuge then north to Walton Rocks, these are areas that they were milling around, not sure what they were eating but they were eating. Snook as I said earlier know the season is closed so if they are the target take the barbs off the hooks.

Sebastian Inlet Report
06-11-12 MONDAY: SPANISH MACKEREL, MANGROVE SNAPPER, SPOTTAIL PINFISH, JACKS, SNOOK AND REDS
It's a real pretty morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the East-Southeast at 10 mph and there is a moderate chop on the water.
Over the weekend, we saw quite a bit of rain Saturday afternoon and evening according to Tommy at the Sebastian Inlet Bait & Tackle. Saturday morning produced some nice Spanish Mackerel for those fortunate enough to have greenies for bait. The rest of the weekend was beautiful but the fishing was just so - so. A few Mangrove Snapper, Snook, Jacks, Spots and Reds were landed but not in large numbers.

Sebastian Inlet Report
06-08-12 FRIDAY: A VARIETY OF SPECIES, INCLUDING JACKS, SPANISH MACKEREL, SPOTTAIL PINFISH, SNOOK AND MANGROVE SNAPPER
It's another beautiful day at the inlet. Overcast skies are keeping the temperatures down but they also bring a good chance of rain today. Go prepared if you head to the inlet. There is no wind at the inlet this morning but every now and then, we will have a little breeze out of the Northeast.
We have a lot of surfers in the water this morning, taking advantage of a small swell at first peak. As always, please use caution when casting off the north side of the north jetty when surfers are present.
Sam Terpening wrote in with an update from the north jetty activities on. Sam and his friend Joey were fishing off the north jetty when Joey hooked up with the enormous Goliath Grouper in our first photo today. They estimated the Goliath to be in the 300 lb range. Goliath Grouper should never be out of the water long enough to photograph. That is why these young men got down from the jetty in order to keep the fish in the water. The big fish was released right after the photo.
Sam spotted some croakers in the surf and waded out to his chest and netted about 50 of them. They were used to land some big C/R Snook which were biting good that night in the rain.
Our last photo today features (L-R) Russ Terpening, Jack Nehs and Sam Terpening with some decent sized Spanish Mackerel they landed off the north jetty last using greenies.

Bait Time
The baits are showing up all over, so it's time to pull that cast-net out and get to throwing.....
NOTE'''''''If your cast -net feels stiff try to soak it in liquid fabric softener (something cheap - dollar store ). Let it soak for about 20-30 min. then give it a GOOD rinse.......
This is how I've been throwing a net for years, you don't get the silm all over you.
