Scouting Around - Sebastian Area

It's another pretty morning at the Sebastian Inlet. Winds are blowing out of the South at 10 mph, gusting to 15 and there is a moderate chop on the water. There are no NOAA advisories this morning but there's a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Go prepared for it if you head to the inlet today. Yesterday the bite picked up a little which was a welcome change for our jetty anglers. A couple of undersized Snook were landed and returned, a couple of oversized Reds and one slot Red came over the rails along with some Blues and Jacks. Four or five Black Drum were landed and several huge Black Drum were hooked up but couldn't be netted before they broke off. Please keep in mind that those huge fish are not good eating, they are tough and most of the time, they are have worms. It's best to release those fish back into the water to breed. Please familiarize yourself with the FWC rules and regulations at the top right corner of this page. Ignorance of the law is no excuse; you will be ticketed for illegal species.
