Sebastian Inlet Report

02-10-17 FRIDAY: SNOOK, REDS, SHEEPSHEAD AND BLACK DRUM

We have a windy morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the North at 16 mph, gusting to 21 and there is a moderate chop on the water. NOAA is calling for small craft to exercise caution for seas until 1:00 p.m. today. We have a full moon tonight that coincides with a minor lunar eclipse. We are hoping the bite gets even better with the weather events.

The Snook bite was decent early this morning according to Tommy Turowski at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop. Sheepshead and Black Drum remain steady and we've received some photos of some huge C/R Reds that have been landed. Get out and wet a line this weekend!!

Our first photo features Stephanie Lindgren of Orlando. Stephanie landed the 38" C/R Snook around 3:00 a.m. on the 3rd using live shrimp. She took several days of vacation to come over and fish the inlet and was not disappointed. She fought the big fish for 20 minutes and she was proud that her line, knots and hands held up. She put the Snook back into the water after a quick photo as they were both very tired!
Our next two photos are courtesy of Donnie Lillie of Sebastian. Donnie had an incredible night of fishing the inlet. Donnie is featured in photo two with a 36" C/R Red he landed on a live pilchard. Donnie landed another 35" C/R Red, tons of Bluefish and some nice Trout.
Brandon White is featured in our last photo with a nice C/R Red he landed.
