Sebastian Inlet Report

03-12-13 TUESDAY: SHEEPSHEAD, BLACK DRUM, BLUES, JACKS, POMPANO, SNOOK AND REDS

Surf's UP! There are some nice waves this morning at first peak. We have a lot of surfers in the water and a helicopter is filming them for the Tourist Development Council. Winds are blowing out of the South-Southwest this morning at 12 mph and gusting to 18. Skies are overcast and there is a possibility of rain today, so go prepared if you head to the inlet today.

The best bet at the inlet right now are Sheepshead, followed by Black Drum. Blues, Jacks, a few Pompano and Spanish Mackerel are making appearances as well. The Snook and Red bite has been more active during the evening hours.

Our first photo today features inlet regular Rich Blum of Vero Beach who fished the north with a nice Black Drum and a decent sized Pompano.
Photo two is of "Big Dave" Hartwell (a Juno Pier  regular intill moving to Sebastian)and Roger Bullock discussing either world peace or what bait to use, as a Royal Tern stands sentinel.
