Sebastian Inlet Report

03-14-13 THURSDAY: SHEEPSHEAD, BLACK DRUM, JACKS, BLUES, REDS AND SNOOK

Brrr....it's chilly out on the jetties this morning, it is 53 degrees but with the wind chill, it feels like 50. Winds are blowing out of the North-Northwest at 11 mph and gusting to 15. There is a moderate chop on the water. We should have a sunny, breezy and cool day today with temperatures only rising into the 60's.

The best bet at the inlet is still Sheepshead. Black Drum, Blues, Jacks and Reds are coming over the rails, but not in big numbers. The Snook bite has been better in the early morning hours and at night.
Our first photo today features Rich Blum of Vero Beach. Rich landed this nice, 23" Black Drum  using dead, stinky shrimp.
Photo two is of a Sheepshead that was landed off the north jetty by a camera-shy angler.
