Sebastian Inlet Report

02-26-16 TGIF! SNOOK, POMPANO AND MACKEREL

Today's forecast calls for sunny skies with a high near 66. The winds will be out of the Northwest around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Through the weekend, temperatures will remain steady and the winds will ease up. The National Weather Service still has a small craft advisory in effect across the east central Florida Atlantic waters beyond 20 nautical miles. Small craft operators should exercise caution.
The Sebastian Inlet's Bait & Tackle shop reports a pretty good bite to kick off the weekend. A couple of keeper snook have come over the rails along with some pompano, Spanish mackerel and red fish.
Our featured angler today is Louie Cruz from Virginia. On Louie's first trip to the Inlet, he landed a couple of great pompano on the jetty using live shrimp. Before he leaves the area Louie hopes to hook up with an Inlet snook, black drum or red fish.
