Sebastian Inlet Report

06-13-12 WEDNESDAY: SPANISH MACKEREL, MANGROVE SNAPPER, ATLANTIC SPADEFISH AND JACKS

This morning winds are blowing out of the West-Southwest at 7 mph and the water is calm. It's a beautiful morning at the inlet.

We received an update from Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach who fished the north jetty yesterday morning. Take your insect repellent, the no see 'ems are back! Mike reported a decent Spanish Mackerel bite on the outgoing tide for anglers using greenies. Diane Buyce of Melbourne landed eight, Mike landed 2 and several other anglers landed a few. Mike also landed a Pompella using a live greenie, a few Jacks came over the rails, and 3 or 4 small Mangrove Snapper were landed. A couple of guys on the tip of the jetty landed 30 - 40 Atlantic Spadefish, one right after another using small pieces of bait on tiny hooks.
