Sebastian Inlet Report

06-20-12 WEDNESDAY: CATCH AND RELEASE SNOOK

It's overcast, windy and it's raining off and on at the inlet. Winds are currently blowing out of the South-Southeast at 11 mph but this morning, winds were gusting much higher.

Tommyat  the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported that nobody was on the north jetty this morning, so he wasn't sure what was biting.

We got an update from an angler who braved the elements to fish the rocks west of the north catwalk this morning. Michael Betts reported the fishing was epic, despite the crazy wind gusts! Michael and a buddy were the only two people out fishing and they landed 6 huge C/R Snook, all in excess of 35". They also had three cut-offs.

Our photo is of a young man who was fishing from the south jetty rocks with a couple of buddies when he landed this C/R Snook, we didn't get his name, but what a beautiful catch!
