The inshore fishing has been good for the big trout. Try fishing a live pilchard along the flats in 3 to 5 feet of water. The redfish bite has been steady with the fish being taken on live shrimp. Most of the reds have been just under the slot. The best place has been the docks along Indian River Drive. Snook fishing has been good in the Ft. Pierce Inlet on the falling tide. Try using a live bait like a pilchard, pinfish or a mullet and fish it on the bottom. Along the channel edges the snapper bite has been steady for fish up to 2 pounds. A live shrimp or a small white bait has been the way to go. Still a few Spanish and blues in the Ft. Pierce Inlet and along the beaches. These fish will take anything shinny.
