Sebastian Inlet Report

08-15-13 THURSDAY: MANGROVE SNAPPER, JACKS, REDS, C/R SNOOK

It's a beautiful summer morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the South-Southeast at 5 mph and the water is calm.

We received an update from Tommy Turowski at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop this morning who reported a lot of Jacks being landed. Mangrove Snapper are biting along with a few slot Reds and C/R Snook.

Our first photo today features Bruno Dadej with a real nice Permit he landed off the north jetty around 4:00 a.m.. He estimated the fish weighed in the 35 lb. range.
Our second photo today features Drew Baratz of Boca Raton. Drew fished the south catwalk using a 2 oz. knocker rig and landed this 33" C/R Redfish. Drew was tossing the bait into the whirlpools created by the pilings and had a great day. Drew also landed a bunch of Mangrove Snapper and Sheepshead, all keepers! Sounds like the south side was the place to be.
