Sebastian Inlet Report

05-13-14 TUESDAY: SLOW ON THE JETTIES, BETTER ON THE FLATS AND OFFSHORE

We have a mix of sun and clouds over the inlet this morning and the forecast is calling for high humidity today. Fortunately, we have a nice breeze which will help; winds are blowing out of the East at 12 mph and gusting to 17. The water is choppy and small craft should exercise caution.

Not much has changed in the past week as far as jetty fishing goes; it's on the slow side. A few Blue Runners, Jacks and Atlantic Spadefish have come over the rails, but it's pretty dismal. Anglers are faring better on the flats with some nice Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Black Drum, Ladyfish and Jacks. Casting under mangroves and docks for Reds and Snook are good possibilities as well.
