Sebastian Inlet Report

05-05-14 MONDAY: A SMALL VARIETY OF SPECIES ARE BEING LANDED

We have a beautiful morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the West-Northwest at 5 mph and gusting to 9. There is a light chop on the water and we have a great weather forecast for today and the rest of the week. There are no NOAA advisories this morning, but always check it before going offshore.

Tommy Turowski of the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported a slow day on Saturday, but things picked up some on Sunday. A small variety of species came over the rails of the jetties including Snook, Reds, Spanish Mackerel, Blues and Black Drum. We understand the Speckled Trout are very active on the flats, get out and enjoy the great weather and wet a line!

Our first photo is courtesy of Donna Cortese. Donna sent in the photo of Jack Graham of Sebastian who landed this real nice 30" Speckled Trout on the Indian River.

Photo two features Dick Kern of Englewood. Dick landed this Whiting and several others Friday morning.
