Sebastian Inlet Report

01-15-15 THURSDAY: BLUES, BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, BIG REDS, FLOUNDER AND SPECKLED TROUT

THE SOUTH CATWALK IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

Conditions have improved slightly over yesterday. This morning winds are blowing out of the North-Northwest at 12 mph, gusting to 17 and there is a moderate chop on the water. There is a small craft advisory in effect. Always check the NOAA forecast before boating.

The lack luster conditions have kept many anglers home over the past few days. Tommy Turowski at the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported that although the bite hasn't been great the past couple of days, we've seen predominantly Blues, a few Black Drum, Sheepshead, big Reds, Speckled Trout and a few Flounder.
Our angler of the day is Alek Turko of Indialantic. Alek landed his 5 lb. Flounder from the north jetty.
