Sebastian Inlet Report

01-20-15 TUESDAY: BLUES, BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, REDS, TROUT, FLOUNDER AND POMPANO

THE SOUTH CATWALK IS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

We have overcast skies at the inlet this morning. The forecast is calling for a mix of sun and clouds and we could see some rain late this afternoon. Winds are blowing out of the North at 5 mph, gusting to 6 and the water is calm. The no see 'ums are out and biting so be sure to take along insect repellent if you head to the inlet today.

Over the weekend we saw Blues, Black Drum, Sheepshead, Speckled Trout, oversized and a few slot Reds, a couple of Flounder and Pompano.

Our first photo today features Kris Hawk of Loveland, OH with a healthy, 16.5" Pompano he landed in the surf using clams.

Photo two features Eufemio Ortiz of Clermont who landed his two good sized Black Drum from the north jetty.

Photo three is of inlet regular Luke Vila of Kissimmee with a juvenile Gag Grouper he landed from the T-Dock. Luke and Justin Mitchell landed several Grouper using shrimp, all were released unharmed.

Inlet regular Justin Mitchell of Kissimmee is featured in our last photo with a juvenile Black Grouper that was released right after the photo.
