From Whites Tackle - Ft Pierce / Stuart

Spanish mackerel have been sparse, but there has been plenty of bluefish off the beach for a good rod bend.  Have a jig ready because the Cobia should be moving down the beach with the manta rays.  In the surf there has been a great pompano bite, along with plenty of whiting.
Inshore fishing for snook has been good up in the St. Lucie, even with all the freshwater being dumped from the locks.  Unfortunately Salinity tests yesterday from the Roosevelt bridge showed zero levels of salinity.  Knowing this if i was fishing inshore I would move farther north up the Indian river toward the power plant and beyond.  There has been a decent trout bit up toward round island with a few flounder mixed in.
