Beach Fishing With Paul Sperco Palm Beach/Martin County Area
I do not have a lot to report as far as our local surf fishing . Work has been getting in my way of chasing some pompano and I have not received many reports from fellow anglers this week. I was able to fish for a couple of hours on Monday and caught a couple of pompano right after first light. I was at Blue Heron when I received a call from one of my commercial pompano friends who said he was catching some at Middle Cove. I ended up being late to the party as the bite pretty much shut down by the time I arrived. I saw friend and fellow surf fisherman Don Brooks and Don had a couple of really nice pompano in his bucket. He got there early enough to take advantage of the bite. This has been the pattern this winter of decent early morning activity and then they seem to bite again late in the afternoon .I did receive a report of very good action late yesterday from a couple of the beaches near Fort Pierce Inlet. A warm up is predicted for this weekend before the next cold front arrives Sunday evening.
