Sebastian Inlet Report

02-01-13 FRIDAY: TGIF AND
                     SNOOK SEASON IS OPEN!

Snook season is open today until June 1, 2013. Make sure you have a Snook stamp on your fishing license and abide by the bag limit and regulations; one Snook per person per day, between 28" - 32". It's cold and breezy on the jetties this morning, winds are blowing out of the North-Northwest at 13 mph and there is a small craft advisory for the Gulf Stream. That's not keeping a few anglers from getting out to land their first Snook of the year. The change in weather pattern usually seems to get fish invigorated, so go out and wet a line this weekend!

This week, fishing has been on the slow side, but there have been fish out there. Black Drum, Sheepshead, Blues, Jacks, a few big Reds and small Spanish Mackerel have been in and out of the inlet this week.
Our first photo today is, 9 year old Jasmine who landed this large Sheepshead off the north jetty. That's a pretty big Sheepshead for such a tiny girl. Jasmine's Mom says that on many occasions, Jasmine out-fishes her father!
Photo two is of the children fishing from the north jetty rocks.
