Sebastian Inlet Report

02-07-13 THURSDAY: SHEEPSHEAD, BLACK DRUM, BLUES, JACKS, SNOOK, REDS, FLOUNDER AND SEA TROUT

We have another gorgeous morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the South-Southeast at 9 mph and there is a light chop on the water.

Sheepshead, Black Drum, Flounder, Jacks, Blues, Snook and big Reds have all been coming over the rails of both jetties. Good sized Sea Trout are being found in the inlet and on the flats. Please abide by the fishing regulations if you are lucky enough to land a Snook. One per person per day, between 28" - 32" are FWC regulations. A Snook stamp is required on your fishing license if you plan to keep one in the slot. If you need a net to pull a fish up onto the north jetty and discover it isn't in the slot, please use a net to lower it back into the water, it's a long drop for the fish and we want to keep them healthy for spawning season!

Our first photo today features Jose Pina of Orlando  Jose landed his good sized Black Drum off the north jetty.
Our next photo today is of a 31 3/4" Snook landed by Mike Misserville of Sebastian. Mike landed this nice Snook using a bucktail.
