Sebastian Inlet Report

02-14-13 THURSDAY: BLACK DRUM, SHEEPSHEAD, SNOOK, BLUES, JACKS, LADYFISH AND SMALL MACKEREL

We have clouds over the inlet this morning with potential rain today, if you head to the inlet be sure to pack some rain gear. Winds are blowing out of the East-Southeast at 6 mph and there is a light chop on the water.

Tommy Turowski of the Sebastian Inlet Bait and Tackle Shop reported that a few Snook were hooked up this morning, but didn't hear if they were keepers or not. Sheepshead, Black Drum and a smattering of other species such as Jacks, Ladyfish, small Spanish Mackerel and Blues have been in and out of the inlet the past few days. The flats are still holding some nice Sea Trout.
Our photos today are of Sigmund Sarkady who has been fly fishing Coconut Point the last couple of days.
Sigmund landed this large 21" Ladyfish and photo two is of Sigmund with a small Spanish Mackerel that was returned to the water, he releases most of his catches. He also landed some Bluefish this morning.
