Sebastian Inlet Report

02-05-13 TUESDAY: SHEEPSHEAD, BLACK DRUM, SEA TROUT, JACKS, BLUES, REDS AND SNOOK

What a gorgeous morning at the inlet! Winds are blowing out of the West at 3 mph and the water is clean and calm. Today would be a great day to get out and do some fishing!

Some nice Sheepshead are coming over the rails of the north jetty, and a few Black Drum, Jacks and Blues. Big Reds have been hitting at night, along with Snook, oversized and slots. The Snook bite seems to be better on the incoming tide. There are some very nice Spotted Sea Trout being landed in the inlet and on the flats.

We received an update from Nam Bui of Orlando who made it to the inlet Sunday night. Nam landed his first Snook of the season, a 32" keeper on a bucktail on the incoming tide. Nam's dad Vinh landed a slot Snook at 31.5". Nam reported that other anglers were having success using live shrimp. Nice way to start the season.
Photo one features Nam Bui with a perfect 32" Snook landed on a bucktail.

Our second photo today features Bill Johnson of Michigan with a real nice Sheepshead. Bill landed the fish  off the north jetty using sand fleas.

Jose Pina of Orlando is featured in our third photo today. Jose landed this oversized Red. The Red was released unharmed.
