Sebastian Inlet Report

07-14-14 MONDAY: MANGROVE SNAPPER, JACKS, C/R SNOOK, MARGATE, REDS, SPANISH MACKEREL AND LOOKDOWNS 

We have another warm morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the Southwest at 3 mph and gusting to 5. There is a light chop on the water and the NOAA forecast is calling for a possible shower. We were pretty lucky with the rain this weekend, it all stayed mainland. The water is still murky, but it seems to be cleaning up.

Over the weekend quite a few Mangrove Snapper were landed, along with a few Jacks, big Permit, Reds and C/R Snook. A few Black Margate, Spanish Mackerel and Lookdowns came over the rails as well. 

We received an update from Mike Ricciardi of Vero Beach who has been absent from the jetty the past six weeks due to knee surgery. Mike made a trip out on Friday and reported the early morning bite produced Snapper limits for a few of the regulars. Jimmy Winter landed a slot Red early in the morning, a C/R Snook was landed by Jose Dore of Palm Bay using a croaker. Live shrimp, mo
