Sebastian Inlet Report

07-08-14 TUESDAY: MANGROVE SNAPPER, JACKS, C/R SNOOK AND REDS

It's another beautiful summer morning at the inlet. Winds are barely blowing at 1 mph out of the South with gusts to 4. There is a light chop on the water and there are a few surfers in the water taking advantage of a small swell. As always, use caution when casting off the north side of the north jetty when surfers are present.

We received an update from  SISP Ranger Ed Perry reported that some big Permit were around the channel on the outgoing tide and some big C/R Reds use blue crabs as bait. We've also been seeing more Mangrove Snapper being landed from the jetties along with some big C/R Snook.

Our first photo features Atila Akin of Orlando with a beautiful 35" C/R Snook. Atila was using live shrimp to land this nice fish. The Snook was released unharmed after the photo.
