Sebastian Inlet Report

07-09-14 WEDNESDAY: MANGROVE SNAPPER, JACKS, BLUE RUNNERS, C/R SNOOK AND BIG REDS

This morning winds are blowing out of the South at 6 mph, although winds will be variable today, according to the NOAA forecast which is calling for 1 - 2' seas and a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Jacks and Mangrove Snapper have been in play, along with some small Blue Runners, big C/R Snook and Reds. We've received several complaints about anglers taking catch and release Snook and oversized Reds. FWC offers a Wildlife Alert Rewards program. Go to www.MyFWC.com to learn more. You could be entitled to a reward for turning in the people who are violating the laws. Call 888-404-3922 to turn in a violator or from your cell phone you can text TIP@MyFWC.com or from your cell phone you can dial *FWC or #FWC depending on your provider. FWC is out there and patrolling, but they can't be everywhere all the time.

Our photo is of Dave Hartwell who caught this nice 41lb permit using his Penn 4500 reel, which shows take your time with the Big Ones
