Sebastian Inlet Report

02-02-12 THURSDAY: SNOOK, BLACK DRUM AND SHEEPSHEAD

It's a real nice morning at the inlet. Winds are blowing out of the North at 3 mph and there is a light chop on the water.

Good news! The Snook showed up for opening day yesterday! We received an update from inlet regular Mike reported a slow, but steady bite of Snook with 5 keepers coming over the rails of the north jetty and there were 5 or 6 more that were either over or under the slot. The bait of choice was live shrimp but Mike didn't have any, he brought sand fleas hoping to land some Sheepshead or Pompano but went home without a thing! There were three Black Drum and four or five Sheepshead and one keeper Red, all landed on live shrimp.
Our first photo today is of Dave   who is a long-time inlet angler and is a real good Snook fisherman, obviously! Dave landed this beautiful keeper on live shrimp, the other photo is of Mr. Chi with a keeper Snook landed also on live shrimp.
