Sebastian Inlet Report

09-09-15 WEDNESDAY: MANGROVE SNAPPER, JACKS, REDS AND SNOOK

We have another hot day ahead of us. This morning winds are blowing out of the South at 5 mph gusting to 7 and there is a light chop on the water. NOAA is calling for 2 - 3' seas today with a chance of showers and thunderstorms.

We received an update from Meir Genoune of Boynton Beach. Meir and his son Eytan made it to the inlet to fish on Sunday. Sunday morning they fished the north jetty and reported a slow bite except for a few nice Mangrove Snapper and one nice Margate that was landed by Eytan. In the late afternoon they moved over to the south jetty and it was an entirely different story. The south side bite was on fire with Mangrove Snapper. Everyone fishing for Snapper landed their limits and there was a thirty minute period when the Redfish bite was real hot along with small and medium sized Jacks. Meir said at least a dozen slot Reds came over the rails along with several dozen Jacks.
Our angler of the day is Leon Groban of Kissimmee. Leon fished the north jetty and landed this 25" slot Redfish using shrimp.
